A frustrated President Barack Obama held a rare Friday evening presser to counter a growing perception he was loosing upper hand in debt ceiling debate. Obama asked the assembled press if the House Republicans would “say yes to anything.”
Obama questioned the seriousness and leadership of the Republicans while praising the courage of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.
Obama was careful to avoid direct criticism of Speaker of the House John Boehner. The President said Republicans had “left him at the altar” several times.
Sounds like Debbie Wasserman Schultz is writing the script at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The GOP as “party of NO” sounds like it was cooked up in Weston.
