Brenda Snipes’ lawyer thinks voters should be “proud” of the work performed by the Broward Supervisor of Elections Office (SOE). Burnadette Norris Weeks, Snipes’ longtime “contract attorney,” penned the incredible opinion in today’s Sun-Sentinel. Even though she is a staunch supporter of Democrats Andrew Gillum, Dale Holness and Alcee Hastings, Norris Weeks blames a partisan witch hunt for all the national criticism directed at Snipes and her office.
Decide for yourself:
“Dr. Brenda Snipes has done a terrific job as the Broward County Supervisor of Elections. Voters can be proud of the non-partisan office that she has run for more than 15 years. She has operated with the highest degree of dignity and respect for all of Broward’s voters. It is unfortunate that a nationally organized partisan campaign has caused even a former governor to inject doubt into the actions of this supervisor who has operated beyond reproach. Snipes is seen by many county supervisors as leading the way in technology and election integrity. Broward voters should all pray that we do not get to see what a partisan office controlled by Tallahassee looks like.”
