Allen West delivered the keynote address at Saturday’s Grand Old Party BBQ in Weston. West urged the 500 Republican activists to work hard so we could send President Barack Obama “back to Chicago.” West’s campaign gathered over 400 signatures to get his name back on the ballot.

The event was held at the Bergeron Ranch in Weston. The guests were entertained by a reenactment of the OK Corral shootout and various cowboy events.

But the real entertainment was provided by the numerous politicians in attendance. Broward commissioner Chip LaMarca urged the crowd to send him some Republican help on the commission. LaMarca introduced Sheriff Al Lamberti who is running for re-election in 2012.
Florida CFO Jeff Atwater told everyone that Tallahassee does not need anymore of their money thanks to the budget prowess of the Florida Legislature and Governor Rick Scott. Atwater mentioned his endorsement of Florida Senate President Mike Haridopolos in the U.S. Senate race.

All four Republicans candidates for the U.S. Senate, (Mike Haridopolos, Adam Hasner, George LeMieux and Mike McAllister), spoke of the need to send Bill Nelson into retirement.

Allen West spoke to RED BROWARD about several issues including Anthony Weiner and Weinergate and Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Out of Touch)and her hyperpartisan start at the DNC.
