Broward School Superintendent Was Not THE Problem

Pray for Broward

You may have heard this is Broward School Superintendent Jim Notter’s last day on the job.  You may hear about  “turning the corner”, “things changing”, and “new blood”.  Don’t be fooled. It’s all baloney.

Jim Notter was not the problem at K.C. Wright (School Board HQ).

Like plenty of other folks in Broward, Notter was an enabler, an insider and an apologist. Notter lacked the courage to stand up to the School Board, the army of administrators and principals, the Union poohbahs, lobbyists and other bullies.

Notter’s fate was sealed long ago when Board member Stephanie Kraft & Co. grew tired of him and plotted his removal.

Now, it appears Notter will ride off into the sunset (North Carolina?) while Donnie Carter does the School Board’s bidding.

Perhaps Maureen Dinnen will grant Notter’s final wish: Make all Broward schoolkids learn Mandarin Chinese

Nothing will change around here until the culture of corruption and its followers are driven from power.

Bob Norman: (Bad) Business As Usual At Broward County School Board

The school board, slammed as inept and corrupt by the statewide grand jury and under state scrutiny, named Donnie Carter as the interim superintendent to replace outgoing Jim Notter. Carter is a member of the old guard, representing the status quo at the board, and has been in a leadership position while hundreds of millions of dollars have been wasted. He doesn’t have the mandatory master’s degree, but that didn’t stop the board from appointing him. Only Patti Good and Nora Rupert voted against the Carter appointment, meaning he was put there primarily by, yes, the old guard on the board…”
