Even during last week’s torrential downpours, enthusiastic Trump supporters waved signs and flags all across Broward early voting locations. Last weekend, local progressive groups, including Dream Defenders and Democratic Socialists of America, tried to counter huge gatherings of Trump supporters in Fort Lauderdale and Coral Springs. They were vastly outnumbered.
Even seasoned political operatives on both sides of the aisle cannot believe the response of Team Donald Trump.
On Thursday, REDBROWARD toured reliably Democrat early voting locations in western Broward County.
Eight years ago, the lines to vote wrapped around libraries in Coral Springs, Pembroke Pines and Tamarac. This year, Democrat volunteers sat around bored while watching Trump fans dance in the parking lots.
The lawyer for former Broward Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes is really worried about low Democrat voter turnout in Broward County. Burnadette Norris Weeks took to Facebook in order to “sound the alarm now” before Broward costs Democrats the White House.
In her Facebook post, Norris Weeks wrote:
Voter turnout is relatively low in Broward. We already know that the Broward SOE has said that he will not do any outreach whatsoever. However, WHAT IS THE LOCAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY DOING? WHERE IS THE PARTY? Asking for a friend.
As of Thursday morning, Norris Weeks’ post had 94 comments. Here are a few. Enjoy?
Today, Governor Ron DeSantis extended best wishes to Floridians for Passover and Easter.
Governor DeSantis said, “This Easter Sunday my family and I will join with millions of Christians worldwide in celebrating the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Casey and I wish everyone a very Happy Easter with family and friends.
“We also wish all of our Jewish friends a Chag Pesach Sameach. The Passover holiday commemorates the Israelites’ emancipation from centuries of slavery in ancient Egypt. I will continue to defend freedom for all and stand with Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East.”
