CLEAN SLATE: Fickle Fesik Swaps District 2 Candidates, Adds Delvin King To Her “Our Pompano” Campaign Slate Website

Our Pompano?

Over the weekend, there was a major roster shakeup on campaign website operated by Pompano Beach Commissioner Audrey Fesik. For months, the “Our Pompano” website urged voters to cast ballots for Fesik and her Commission allies Alison Fournier and Beverly Perkins. Without a hint of irony, the website claimed the best way to end the gridlock in Pompano Beach was to vote for their picks in the District 2 and District 5 races.

“Too often, the issues that matter most to everyday people get slowed down, sidelined, or caught in repeated 3–3 deadlocks. With a mayor and five commissioners, tied votes can make it difficult to move priorities forward — even when those priorities are practical, widely supported, and long overdue. That is why this election is about more than any one district. It is about whether the city as a whole is ready to support leadership focused on getting the basics right and making government work better for residents,” Fesik wrote.

DISTRICT TWO

Audrey Fesik used to support Brandi Zabadal

Last week, Our Pompano urged readers in District 2 to vote for Brandi Zabadal. “Longtime Pompano Beach resident, community advocate, and President of the Pompano Beach Highlands Civic Improvement Association. Brandi is running to strengthen neighborhood safety, improve city services, and give residents a stronger voice in local government,” claimed Fesik.

Today, Our Pompano wiped the slate clean. Brandi Zabadal was unceremoniously dumped.

Fickle Fesik replaced Zabadal with Fredrick “Freddy” York. According to Fesik’s website, “Freddy is running for City Commission, District 2, with a focus on core city services, responsible spending, and responsive government. His campaign emphasizes practical solutions, follow-through, and remaining accessible to residents.”

DISTRICT FIVE BACK IN PLAY?

Shockingly, Audrey Fesik added the controversial Delvin King to her “Our Pompano” campaign site. In September, a Broward judge booted Delvin King off the District 5 ballot. A court hearing established King was not a resident of District 5 for a full year. Last week, Fesik’s Our Pompano website offered very little in its District 5 section.

District 5 on Audrey Fesik’s Our Pompano used to offer no names.

Under a “Coming Soon” headline, Fesik wrote, “Details for the District 5 candidate we support will be announced here shortly. Check back soon – or sign up for updates to be the first to know.” It appears “shortly” was this week.

Audrey Fesik’s Our Pompano refers to Delvin King by name.

Now Our Pompano writes, “Delvin King was removed from the November ballot following a candidate-eligibility lawsuit filed by incumbent Commissioner Darlene Smith. The court ruled that he did not meet the district’s residency requirements, leaving Smith unopposed. Reported court outcome: Sun Sentinel, September 8.”

Our Pompano claims it updated the District 5 section with Delvin King’s name on Monday September 21, 2026. Screenshots from Tuesday September 29, 2026 make no mention of King.

King, who is currently facing multiple felony charges in Broward County, did not go away quietly. This weekend, King, referring to himself as a candidate for District 5, announced a livestream scheduled for this week.

King has been active on Facebook promoting campaign posts by Fesik, Fournier and Perkins. The “Residence First Commission” must be a Freudian slip.
