The “non partisan” Awake Broward group invited several DEMOCRAT Politicians to the West Regional Library naming them “middle class champions”. The group included State Representative Marty Kiar, State Representative Ari Porth, State Representative Franklin Sands and State Representative Hazelle Rogers. Guess Hazelle took time off from her search for the Miami Dolphins next head coach.
The crowd looks a bit thin; guess “Team Broward” forgot to invite their Occupy Fort Lauderdale chums. Don’t worry, they’re bringing the dirty hippies to the January 10 protest at State Rep. George Moraitis’ office in Fort Lauderdale. We hear Judy Stern is making salami sandwiches for everyone so get there early.

Occupy Fort Lauderdale was invited by awake broward. Please get your facts correctly, this is improper journalism
great amateur video!
I love how the republican tend to lie to themselves and the rest of their base, for your information Occupy Fort Lauderdale was invited, if you look closely in the video, from 00:05-00:10 on the right hand side of the screen, you can see their outreach liason, ME!!, there and if you fail to see me in that time I’m also on 00:34-00:35 but I guess it’s easier to manufacture truth than to acknowledge reality.
Ah typical Occupier, absolutely NO sense of humor.
Yeah republicans do have a better sense of humor, look at the spectacle you have going on with your primaries, I must say absolutely delightful lol
touche. much funnier than a group of grown men and women flashing jazz hands.
You know whats truly sad and not least bit funny, giving someone like Hazelle Rogers an award. did she explain the investigation into her relationship with Miami Dolphins great Dwight Stevenson? Talk about the freakin’ one percent. Our leaders rob us blind, dole out favors to friends and all you can say is the GOP presidential candidates are funny. Tell us how the freakin hell is Hazelle Rogers a middle class champion?
But not funnier than Allen West, Mr. Tea Party Macho whining about the reshaping of the districts
What was possibly could be construed about this as humorous at all? It’s a lie. I actually think you should put your tail between your legs and take it down. Of course, me publicizing this post means it’s probably your most read post of all time, so there’s that cutting against it.
I’ve been to several Occupy FTL events. They’re loyal and eager to get involved, how come only one rep showed? Most of them bust their asses riding bicycles to events. Plus west regional is next to major bus depot. Was Ari afraid to hang with the 99%? You guys use these folks to push your agenda. Sadly they’ve yet to realize you don’t really care about their agenda. P.S thanks for the plug
First, Marty and Ari are State Representatives, not Senators. That’s simple stuff.
Second, it’s not our fault that Republicans cannot get elected in Broward County. Try to run a good campaign. Let’s see how your boy Merrick Lewin does. Run someone against Jared Moskowitz. You can’t have a champion of anything in Broward county without getting a few Democrats.
Third, George Moraitis consistently sided with Rick Scott in his first session against the Middle Class. This is just one of the ramifications. There will be more. He’ll wish he was back on a submarine in no time.
Fourth:
Thanks, we must have had Marty’s big senate campaign on the brain…oops wait, nevermind. Did you have ANY independents or Republicans at your gathering? not talking politicians, just members of the lumpen prolitariat
I didn’t check Voter ID cards on the way in. Sorry. Remember, it’s Republicans that are all about checking identifications all the time. There may have been some illegal immigrants in the mix! Lord help us!
This is what should have been fourth, but your commenting cannot handle HTML: http://i.imgur.com/4hUU7.png
ahahahaha :: jazz hands::
Nick:
A very simple question. Put Party Affiliation aside. Why would you not want to check anyone’s ID? And in this day, who in this country would not be carrying an ID with them, expecially if they do simple everyday things like charge at the grocery store or write a check. How about a different example. If you were ever in a car accident and the other person was at fault. The policeman arrives. Would you say “That’s ok, Officer. Don’t worry about checking the other guy’s driver’s license”? Just curious as to what your view is on that.
Nick? You there? Or is the question too tough?
The Middle Class Champions are legislators who voted 100% against Rick Scott’s job-killing, anti-middle class agenda referring to several pieces of legislation that affect all middle class Floridians. All of the Champions who voted 100% against Rick Scott’s agenda are Democrats. It is a fact that there are no Republicans who can claim to be champions of the middle class. Let the truth fall where it may, and if you know anything about the Florida legislature, you know that that usually falls along partisan lines when dealing with a super majority extremist Republican legislator and a radical Governor. If you’re suggesting researchers skew their data to include Republicans for the sake of including Republicans and ignore their voting records, then you are a ridiculous dishonest news source.
Dear Loser
Join the Middle Class Champions, the Democrat Rep’s of the Broward Delegation to let Rep George Moritias and his fellow women hating celebrants form Coral Ridge Pres its time for a big wake up call on January 11 from 4-7pm in front of Rep Moritias office at Oakland and Federal. We will show those tea party losers that hang out across the street how to stage a protest. The rumor is that soon to be newest member of the Middle Class Champions, future State Rep Barbara Stern is going to announce at the event she will run against Rep George Moritias and this time she WILL beat him. Thank you to Sean Phillippi for all your hard work putting this together. Its going to be huge, the people were fooled once, never again.
AWAKE THE STATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don’t forget, Barbara Stern was one hell of a Republican too! Too bad her Mommy Dearest, Judy, couldn’t convince Mo Dinnen to run. No biggie, Mo’s days on the School Board are numbered.

You would think that in something very important such as (oh let’s see … Election of the President of the United States), you would want to make sure that only registered voters are voting. And only once! Be real, guy.
