Tuesday Tease: Adam Hasner, Jeremy Ring Facing Primary Challenge?

Sources say “Yes”! Despite tons of money, RNC backing and endorsements from Allen West and Jeb Bush, multiple sources say Adam Hasner will face a primary challenge from Broward County Commissioner Chip LaMarca. Two weeks ago, LaMarca announced the formation of an exploratory committee. Sources say all systems are go for a LaMarca candidacy. Both men are vying for the opportunity to soundly defeat Democrats Lois Frankel and Kristin Jacobs (D-Fair is Funny).

Other sources tell RED BROWARD that popular Florida Democrat State Senator Jeremy Ring will face a primary challenge. Perhaps, Ring is not so popular among Broward Democrat rank and file? Several Broward Democrat insiders see Ring as a DINO (Democrat In Name Only). Ring already has a Republican opponent, Geoffrey Summers of Boca Raton.

GOP says Ozzie DeFaria Is A “Young Gun”

Ozzie DeFaria was already on Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Out of Touch) radar. Now, the RNC and Congressional Republicans have noticed the DeFaria campaign. Reports say the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) will recognize DeFaria as a Republican “Young Gun”.

As a “young gun”, DeFaria will have access to increased support from the RNC and national GOP sources. This program was created by Reps. Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Eric Cantor (R-VA) and headed up by Rep Pete Sessions (R-TX).

DeFaria, a Weston businessman, has raised more than $200,000 in his bid to win the CD-20 seat currently held by DWS.

The Sun-Sentinel posted this comment from Rep. Pete Sessions:

“’We are looking forward to working with Ozzie deFaria, who has already proven himself by meeting rigorous benchmarks in the ‘Young Guns’ program that will position his campaign for victory,’ U.S. Rep. Pete Sessions, R-Texas, chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee said in a statement.

‘Ozzie deFaria’s dedication and experience enables him to advocate effectively for pro-growth policies and fight the failed status quo in Washington. This will stand in stark contrast to the Obama-Pelosi-Wasserman Schultz record of spending, borrowing and taxing that Florida families and small businesses know has failed,'”

The DeFaria campaign released this statement:
