Connie Mack: “Bill Nelson can no longer be trusted with our tax dollars.”

Toast

Mike Haridopolos’ campaign just released the following statement from Congressman Connie Mack:

For too long Bill Nelson’s liberal record has been at odds with Floridians. From his support of ObamaCare, his opposition to tax cuts and his recent attempt to further bankrupt our state and federal government with his support of an unnecessary rail line, Bill Nelson can no longer be trusted with our tax dollars.“

Mike Haridopolos has confronted the challenges of our day with a steadfast commitment to freedom, limited government, and fiscal responsibility and I am proud to stand with him to put Florida and our country back on a path of economic and job growth. I remember fondly Mike’s participation in the Freedom Caucus in Tallahassee and his watchful eye on the state budget as President of the Senate. I ask all Florida Republicans today to join me in my support of Mike Haridopolos for the U.S. Senate.

Liberal? He is very much a moderate and can even be somewhat conservative on issues. This is a prime example that if you are not right wing Republican than you are a flaming liberal. There is never any middle.

You want to disagree on his votes, and can provide a plan that is passable, then put it forward and we can talk about it. So far I have never seen a plan that worked by Florida Republicans. But it’s too easy just to point to votes you don’t like and you have no real workable solution. That is why I think Florida is going down the tubes.

Florida Republicans have been in power for almost 20 years and we are no better off (in fact worse than) many other states. We have a horrible educational system which is getting worse every day (University of Florida is becoming nothing more than a correspondence college), crime, a poor transportation system based virtually on cars only, budget issues everywhere, and the list goes on. You can’t say that Republicans didn’t have the ability to fix all of this, and they haven’t except for those that want it this way. Everything is on the cheap if at all, and it doesn’t work.

They don’t have a clue of what fiscal conservativeness/fiscal responsibility is. If you want to know, check out how Republicans use to define it back from the 1950’s to 1970’s. That I could support.

“Hair”adopolis is just another symptom of a failed system, and Mack isn’t leaving any legacy of accomplishment like his grandfather did (I am purposely skipping over his father for another day).
