Coral Springs Early Voting, Then & Now

Even during last week’s torrential downpours, enthusiastic Trump supporters waved signs and flags all across Broward early voting locations. Last weekend, local progressive groups, including Dream Defenders and Democratic Socialists of America, tried to counter huge gatherings of Trump supporters in Fort Lauderdale and Coral Springs. They were vastly outnumbered.

Even seasoned political operatives on both sides of the aisle cannot believe the response of Team Donald Trump.

On Thursday, REDBROWARD toured reliably Democrat early voting locations in western Broward County.

Eight years ago, the lines to vote wrapped around libraries in Coral Springs, Pembroke Pines and Tamarac. This year, Democrat volunteers sat around bored while watching Trump fans dance in the parking lots.

Broward Early Vote Day 3: Democrat Numbers Continue To Fall, GOP Steady As Independent Votes Climb Higher

The Broward Supervisor Of Elections Office (SOE) released unofficial numbers from a rainy day three of early voting.

SOE reports 25, 276 early votes cast on Wednesday. This represents a 2,837 decline from Monday’s high.

Republican votes were 7,681. This was a 1,160 increase from Monday’s report. Independents continue to be a growing force in Broward. SOE reports 5,470 votes (+725 over Monday).

Democrat votes continued a downward trajectory on Wednesday with 12,125 (-4,722 from Monday).
