FL Senate Bill Would Slash School Board Salaries To $100 Per Meeting

The Florida Senate may vote on a bill cutting School Board Member salaries to a mere $100 per Board Meeting. This would affect all School Boards in Florida.

“The committee chair, Sen. Stephen Wise, R-Jacksonville, spearheaded the Senate’s efforts this year to pass legislation that overhauled how teachers are hired, fired, paid and evaluated. In recent years, Wise also pushed to reduce school board salaries, including a successful move to cap salaries in each district to the same rate earned by beginning teachers.”

Black Democratic Caucus To Broward Dems: Ann Murray “Resign” Or Be “Removed”

On BLUE BROWARD, a website dedicated to Broward Democrat activists and campaigns, Freda Stevens called for Broward School Board Member Ann Murray to “resign” or be “removed.” Stevens, vice president of the Broward Black Democrat caucus is one of the few Broward Democrats to address Murray’s racist slur.

“School Board Member Ann Murray is under fire for the use of the “N” word as an employee of Broward County Public Schools. What scares me the most is her blatant disregard for the people she was elected to serve. Her use of the “N” word explains why she has made nothing but false promises to Hallandale Beach High School.

Broward County is one of the most diverse counties in the country. For any elected official to have that kind of racist mentality towards African Americans is reprehensible.

Ann Murray should do the honorable thing and step down. The school board is no place for a racist.”
