Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Daniel Foganholi to the School Board of Broward County.
Foganholi, of Coral Springs, is currently a Design Consultant for Arhaus. He currently works with the American Brazilian Coalition, is an active member of his church, Habitat for Humanity, and Feeding America. Foganholi earned certificates in marketing and business management from Florida Atlantic University.
Broward School Board Chair Rosalind Osgood is running for the Florida State Senate seat currently occupied by Perry Thurston. Osgood filed her paperwork on Tuesday as she presided over a School Board workshop discussion about indicted School Superintendent Robert Runcie.
Osgood is set to negotiate an exit plan with Runcie and indicted School Board attorney Barbara Myrick. Osgood told fellow Board members she would “find” legal counsel to assist in the negotiations.
Can Broward taxpayers trust Rosalind Osgood to make a fair deal?
Osgood is a staunch ally of Runice. Osgood is a staunch ally of controversial Broward County Commissioner Dale Holness.
Watch this 2018 video Osgood posted on Facebook praising Runcie while attacking Parkland families. Does she sound like an impartial negotiator?
Statewide prosecutors demolished a motion to dismiss a felony perjury charge against Broward School Superintendent Robert Runcie in documents filed Monday. Runcie’s team of high-priced lawyers claimed the unsealed indictment lacked specificity. Prosecutors said Runcie “was not alleged to have lied under oath regarding a trivial matter, but rather about one deemed worthy of investigation by a Statewide Grand Jury convened by order of the Florida Supreme Court.”
Prosecutors said Runcie’s demand for the premature release of his testimony could have resulted in “prejudice to any investigations ongoing at that time, or to himself.” Prosecutors said release of testimony would violate the law since the disclosure of testimony before the Statewide Grand Jury is prohibited by law. Any release of such testimony is a felony.
According to Prosecutors, Runcie’s argument “is that the State should have violated the law in order to describe his crime to his preferred level of detail.”
Prosecutors said no court “should countenance such absurdity.”
The document revealed the perjury charge against Runcie stems from his testimony regarding the January arrest of former Broward Schools Chief Information Officer Anthony Hunter for bid tampering and unlawful compensation for official behavior.
Prosecutors allege Runcie spoke with witnesses in order to prepare for his testimony before the Grand Jury in March. These witness had previously testified before the Grand Jury. How did Runcie know they testified before the Grand Jury?
Prosecutors say Broward School Board Lawyer Barbara Myrick assisted Runcie in preparation for his testimony. Myrick is listed as the lawyer for four Broward School District employees who testified in the Hunter matter. Prosecutors allege Myrick identified the witnesses listed in the Hunter case and even contacted them before Runcie testified.
Runcie denied, under oath, speaking to any witnesses.
Did Runcie and Myrick coach witnesses? Did Runcie and Myrick shape their testimony to fit the witnesses’ accounts?
Runcie and Myrick acted like mafiosos instead of community leaders. They acted like gangsters trying to “get their stories straight” before talking to the cops.
All those Broward millionaires and community leaders who attended Friday’s pro-Runcie rally should apology immediately. These charges are no trivial matter.
The School Board of Broward County should fire Robert Runcie and Barbara Myrick immediately.
