BREAKING: Controversial Broward County Commissioner Dale Holness pulled a last minute campaign trick hoping to scuttle the electoral hopes of his strongest challenger, State Senator Chris Smith. Source tells REDBROWARD Holness challenged at least 30 signatures obtained by Smith to qualify for the race. Holness campaign operative Sean Phillipi sent the letter to Broward Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes at 11:50 am. 

Just ten minutes before the qualifying deadline.

Snipes is reviewing the matter.
