Numbers released by the Supervisor of Elections Office show nearly five thousand Broward voters took advantage of early voting. On the first day of voting, 4,626 residents voted in the August primary. The votes were spread out at twenty sites across the county.
The most votes (420) were cast at the Coral Ridge Mall in Fort Lauderdale. The other top locations were the Southwest Regional Library in Pembroke Pines, the Northwest Regional Library in Coral Springs, the West Regional Library in Plantation and the Davie/Cooper City Library.
The fewest votes were cast at the Parkland Community Center. Only 65 people voted.
