You didn’t really think Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-In A Box) would resign did you? Forget the Congressman Chris Lee (R-NY) resigned over shirtless pic argument; Democrat politicians seldom play by the rules or follow logic.
Broward county is full of examples. Deerfield’s Sylvia Poitier (D-Family) attacked her accuser, Chaz Stevens, until the day she was arrested.
Broward School Board member Ann Murray (D-Bad Seats) is hanging on to her seat despite an outcry from her own party.

Stacy Ritter (D-Caddyshack) dances merrily along as opponents and family yachts disappear.

Published reports say another Broward commissioner, Ilene Lieberman, rats out her friends and doesn’t blink an eye; She’s confident her downtown backers will keep her in office.
They blame the press. They blame disgruntled employees. They blame everyone. Yet, they never blame themselves.
Weiner said he accepts “full responsibility”. What does that mean? He says he’s not resigning. He says his wife isn’t leaving him. What consequence will he suffer? Some jokes at the hands of late night comedians?
This morning on Jimmy Cefalo’s WIOD morning show, Broward GOP chairman Richard DeNapoli said Weiner should resign. Broward DEM chair Mitch Ceasar hemmed and hawed.
Why doesn’t Debbie Wasserman Schultz condemn all this bad behavior? She said Weinergate was a “personal matter”. She hasn’t said boo about Broward corruption. Her Broward machine is too busy undermining Congressman Allen West.
At long last have they no shame?
If you do not hold these people responsible, no one else will.
Strange how you left out quite of few Republican office holders who have done the same thing and not resigned. And don’t get me going with who, there are plenty of them.
This is not particular to a party. It’s the selection of the people we have and there are plenty of bad apples on both sides to go around.

I didn’t know that Congressman Anthony Weiner was a Broward Democrat.
And what would expect in a county composed mostly of Democrats. If you examine counties composed of mostly Republicans you would find the same Republican problems. After all, Gov. Crist suspended a lot of elected officials. Most were not from Broward, and many Republicans (possibly most), including a House Speaker.
So soon we forget.

I am a Socialist. If liberals are red, I am fire-engine red, but for my work here in town, that should not matter. In theory, local politics is supposed to be “no party affiliation.” Not red, not blue, not purple. It is supposed to be color blind.
When I nailed Poitier’s hide to the floor, I didn’t care if she was “red” or “black”. She was corrupt, that is what mattered to me. Color didn’t enter into my equation.
I also nailed Steve Gonot. He was a Republican. His brother, who got on the stand to lie in a hopeless attempt at keeping Steve out of jail, is a Republican – in fact, a former Broward GOP treasurer. I also nailed Capellini. Another Republican.
So in Deerfield, when it comes to arrested corrupt politicians, the GOP leads the Dems by a 2-1 ratio.

I am often on the Joyce Kaufman show. To say she’s not left leaning would be an understatement, however she and I get along swimmingly, because we are both bright enough to realize regardless of what we think of politics on the national level, if the trash doesn’t get picked up, it’s not about party, it’s about our local government.

Go get them all Chaz Stevens nice to see a real American doing the right thing for the right reason. telling it like it is no matter how it hits. Its to bad that the grandparents are just sitting back and watching their grandkids get less of education then they received.
