George Soros Funded PAC Backs Joe Kimok For Broward State Attorney

Team Soros Keeps Growing

A brand new political committee funded by the controversial philanthropist George Soros wants Joe Kimok to be the next Broward State Attorney. The Florida Justice & Public Safety PAC mailed campaign materials to Broward Democrat voters touting the radical left-wing agenda of Kimok. Formed on July 23, 2020, the Florida committee is affiliated with the Washing D.C. based Justice and Public Safety PAC as well as the Kimok campaign.

In 2019, The Washington Post reported George Soros’ PAC spent more than $1 million dollars on State Attorney races in Virginia. POLITICO reported Soros’ PAC funded Kim Foxx, the controversial Cook County prosecutor in the Jussie Smollet case. In St. Louis, George Soros’ PAC funds Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner who tried to prosecute Mark and Patricia McCloskey for defending their home from rioters.

George Soros’ desire to reshape the U.S. justice system is no secret.

“Yes, it’s no secret we contribute to Safety and Justice PACs,” Soros spokesman Michael Vachon, told Just the News. “We are for criminal justice reform.”

The Florida Justice and Public Safety PAC mailer on behalf of Joe Kimok declares “Dismantle Systemic Racism, Reforming Our Broken Justice System.” A picture of Kimok at Black Lives Matter protest is accompanied by claims he will end “mass incarceration” while “protecting all of our sons and daughters.” Unsurprisingly, it fails to mention the radical nature of Joe Kimok’s true reform agenda.

Last year, REDBROWARD exposed Joe Kimok’s radical views on the decriminalization of hard drugs and sex work. At a candidate forum, Joe Kimok said drug users “shouldn’t spend any amount” of jail time. Declaring the War On Drugs is a “War on People,” Kimok said any “real discussion” of criminal justice reforms requires talking about “decriminalizing crack, heroin and meth.”

Kimok did not stop with drugs. An audience member asked whether the candidates favored the legalization of “sex work.” Kimok said he did favor legalization.

“[Criminalizing sex work] makes the lives of the workers-that decide to do this-more dangerous, more unhealthy,” Kimok said. “And makes them more likely to be a victim of human trafficking.”

Kimok said, “By driving [sex work] underground, it opens it up to these workers being, uh uh uh uh, selected based on their race, if transgender and without any public safety benefit.”

Later, Joe Kimok mimicked the views of radical San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin.

In his 2019 victory speech, Boudin said, “We will not prosecute cases involving quality-of-life crimes,” Boudin said. “Crimes such as public camping, offering or soliciting sex, public urination, blocking a sidewalk, etc., should not and will not be prosecuted. Many of these crimes are still being prosecuted; we have a long way to go to decriminalize poverty and homelessness.”

On Facebook, followers asked Joe Kimok for specifics about his criminal justice reform plans. Kimok responded with a litany of progressive ideas like ending cash bail, mandatory minimum jail sentences and “stop-and-frisk.” Kimok said he would stop arrests for drug possession and stop seeking search warrants for drugs. Kimok criticized the death penalty and vow to reduce life without parole sentencing.

Kimok said feeling safe means “being safe from violence and being safe from police and the [criminal justice] system.”

Last month, REDBROWARD revealed the true goal of the radicals backing Joe Kimok—the abolition of the Broward State Attorney’s Office.

Since late May, a coalition of radical activists including Broward Dream Defenders and Broward Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) organized local protests under the Black Lives Matter. Now, with the August election fast approaching, Broward Dream Defenders want supporters to vote for radical Broward State Attorney candidate Joe Kimok in the Democrat primary.

According to the Broward Dream Defenders leadership, the group wants more than criminal justice reform. Their long-term goal is the destruction of the State Attorney’s Office.

On a July conference call, Quayneshia Smith reiterated that Dream Defenders was an abolitionist group. Smith said their endorsement in the State Attorney race does not conflict with their goals to abolish prisons and police departments though the “defund the police” movement.

Smith said:

To make it clear…we’re abolitionists. Our goal with endorsing [Joe Kimok] is a tactic. The goal…the long-term goal for us is to not have a State Attorney’s Office. That’s the goal. If we don’t have a State Attorney’s Office people are not getting locked up. People are not getting arrested, right?

Broward Young Democrats Clueless About Its Local Candidate Endorsements

Clueless Broward Young Democrats

While they perfected a pro-Chinese message on the Fourth of July, the Broward Young Democrats (BYD) seem clueless about their endorsements of local candidates. As REDBROWARD earlier this week, the BYDs social media account delivered an anti-American message on Independence Day. When a lone young Broward Democrat objected to the “devisive” messages, several young Broward Democrats pounced with more virulent anti-American screeds.

Now, it appears the BYDs incompetence extends beyond American history, political science and economics. In a Facebook post touting the BYD Convention next week, the next generation of Broward Democrat leadership cannot even figure out which candidates are running for which seat!

Under “BYD Endorsed Candidates,” the group backs Jasmen Rogers-Shaw as its pick in the Florida House District 93 seat. Just one problem, Rogers-Shaw is not running in the District 93 race. Kinda Thompson Gonzalez is the Democrat sacrificial lamb running against Republican Chip LaMarca, the strong District 93 incumbent.

Jasmen Rogers-Shaw, who recently revealed she contracted COVID-19, is running in the District 95 race. This district covers Lauderhill, Lauderdale Lakes and other parts of central Broward. Democrat Anika Omphroy is the current District 95 representative.

According to the graphic, the BYDs endorsed Shevrin Jones in the Florida House District 101 race.

Just one problem. Shevrin Jones is NOT running in the District 101 race. Due to term limits, Jones is a heavy favorite to win a seat in the Florida Senate.

When it comes to the Broward State Attorney race, the Broward Young Democrats cannot even make an endorsement. Instead the chose Harold Pryor, Joshua Rydell and uber-leftie Joe Kimok as their “Candidates of Distinction.”

How does the BYD back a challenger over an incumbent Democrat?

How do the BYDs not know it’s most popular elected official is running for a Senate seat?
