The Broward Democrat Party is using the hate-filled “Tesla Takedown” protests to recruit new members. Videos posted by Broward Democrats of Saturday’s protest at the Tesla dealership in Fort Lauderdale featured party members and activists holding signs protesting Elon Musk and President Donald Trump. According to the posts, the Tesla Takedowns appear to be coordinated by local Democrat organizations and national progressive groups.
In an offical post last week, the Broward Democrat Party urged followers to “Join South Florida Indivisible, Truth Matters, Resist Broward County, and the Broward Democratic Party” to protest at the Tesla dealership on Federal Highway.
While the FBI and law enforcement is monitoring violence directed at Musk and Tesla dealers, vehicles and charging stations, it has not been an issue in Fort Lauderdale since the “Tesla Takedowns” began.
But judging by the images shared by the Broward Democratic Party, the protest is growing increasingly vulgar with its hate-filled signs directed at Musk and the Trump administration.
One sign read “Trump is still a c*nt.” Another sign renamed Tesla the “swasticar” and labeled Musk a “Nazi.”
More worrisome was the seemingly happy couple holding signs with violent imagery. The man’s sign showed a knife aimed at a MAGA supporter. The woman’s sign showed a guillotine with the caption “You look tired Elon, Come rest your head.”
Despite this violent imagery, the Broward Democrat Party is using these protests to recruit new members. One photograph shows a man in a Broward Democrat Party t-shirt holding a sign-up sheet asking for protesters to provide their names and personal information.
I guess they’ve learned from the years of vulgarity from republicans demeaning Obama, Clinton, and Biden.

But, as one who has actually been there the past two weekends I know first hand the peaceful protests that they have been, the draw of several hundred that are regularly appearing, and the level of honking horns, clapping and thumbs up that many passing vehicles give us. But, yes, there are also a few MAGA types that seem to think shouting at us or giving us the finger means anything to us other than a good laugh. But, of course, you don’t report on those any more than you have chosen to report on the Tesla employee who chose to drive his car into a group of mainly senior protestors at the protest in West Palm this past Saturday (reported on by more mainstream media that I’m sure you are aware of), jump out and start berating those protestors and then stupidly tried to speed away only to be pulled over by the police and brought in. I guess though actual violent acts by “others” don’t fit the agenda of your pieces. In any case, feel free to drop in this coming Saturday to see for yourself. I can’t believe some of the comments on here. I was trying to read through them and saw nothing but ange. Why? Stephanie, your accusations are mostly inaccurate and you seem to very aggressive, yet can’t take any criticism or handle the fackts presented. The Fortune article is slanted to the right and gives nothing but quotes by Musk and Trump, and a comment by an uniformed astronaut. No where does it show that they were stranded and needed to be saved. If anything, the quotes from NASA itself speak the truth that politics had nothing to do with them returning, and they were brought back as scheduled. Putting Musk or Trump on a pedestal when all of this was prescheduled is nothing but hype. It would make no sense for Biden to stall the return and let those two take the credit. What’s interesting is that the whole time they were up there, no mention of them being in danger, stranded, desprate, or the like was reported. It was only when Trump, Musk, and Fox made a spectacle of it upon their return. Such a shame that politics is brought into everything because MAGA people are so angry about everything.
