Election Day In Broward Kicks Off With Republican Lead of Nearly 20,000 Votes Over Democrats

Today’s Presidential primary and municipal elections in Broward began with a 19,777 vote lead for Republicans over Democrats. The Presidential primary is driving the turnout for Republicans. The Florida Democratic Party decided not to hold a primary for President Joe Biden.

As of 11:00AM on Tuesday, the Broward Supervisor of Elections Office reports 10.57% turnout in Democrat-heavy Broward.

So far, Broward SOE reports 26,208 votes by Republicans and just 6,437 votes by Democrats. SOE reports 2,229 NPA votes.

Really!! Talk about slanted journalism. There are only a couple of municipalities holding elections. How about using those cities’ voting statistics!

“Slanted?” Sorry, those are straight facts based on official countywide numbers. Breaking down numbers by precinct/city takes more time but they’re coming

Very slanted. Republicans are voting in every Broward County Precinct. Democrats voting options are very, very limited today.

Facts are facts. These are the facts presented by the Supervisor of Elections Office. He breaks them down by type of ballot, location and even PARTY.

Red Broward was reporting the factual statistics. Facts are not “slanted.” He did not write an opinion piece, but merely reported on the information provided by the Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office. I’m sorry you find facts so distressing.

Tom slipped in to both his caption as well as his “story” itself that Republicans have a nearly 20,000 vote “lead” to Democrats in Broward’s Presidential and “municipal” elections. While that may be “factual” it is also largely completely irrelevant for the reasons already stated and that is primarily the fact that Biden is not needlessly on the ballot and, therefore, this “election” is essentially worthless to the vast majority of Democrats living in Broward . But, sure, try and make a horserace out of thin air because if there is anything that the media excels at when it comes to elections it is creating a “race” where none really exists. Me, I’d save it for November.
