Organizers of Occupy Fort Lauderdale say they estimate 400 people marched in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Their catchy chant, “We are the 99 percent” will debut on Casey Kasem’s American Top 40 next week.
I see a commonality here between the Tea Party and the Occupy Wall Street movement. Both see the government has been broken, and needs to be fixed. Both love the USA. Both are at least standing up for our rights. It’s not anti-gov’t or anti USA from either movement. It’s anti-greed and anti-over taxation. We, as the people should listen intently to what Tea Party has to say, and to what the Occupy Wall Street movement has to say. I don’t see either movement as negative. I say IT’S ABOUT TIME!!!!!!!! Thank you Tea Party, and thank you Occupy Wall Street for taking a stand!!!
Sincerely,
Andrew Dangelo of Pompano Beach, FL
Finally someone who understands. It’s not Tea Party vs. Occupy Wall Street. It’s we are upset with what is going on, and we want someone to make some sense of it and solve problems.
Unfortunately compromise has become a dirty word and that has made it worse not better. Believe me, no one has the answer, otherwise it would have been solve long ago.
I embrace my Tea Party brothers and sisters. We may not agree on how to solve some issues, however as long as we disagree agreeably, we are moving ahead. I have no children, however I want to make this right for the children and the generations to come. Even if we don’t see major change for the better in our life time, at least we can say we tried to make it better. That is what really counts!! Let’s keep on, and keep on, and keep on trying. Keep the passion!!!
Sincerely,
Andrew
