Marlon Bolton Strikes Again? New Mystery Mailer Hits Tamarac Mailboxes

A mystery mailer entitled “Moving Tamarac Forward” is hitting Tamarac mailboxes this week. The Democrat friendly voting recommendations are a carbon copy of Tamarac Commissioner Marlon Bolton’s previous attempts to influence local elections. A disclaimer states the mailer was produced by a Tampa based political committee (more on that later).

Unsurprisingly, Moving Tamarac Forward recommends Elberg Mike Gelin for mayor. Gelin and Bolton are close allies who turned Tamarac into a political laughingstock. Gelin and Bolton are desperate to unseat popular incumbent Mayor Michelle Gomez.

The pick for the District 2 seat on the Tamarac Commission is somewhat surprising. Moving Tamarac Forward picks Morey Wright over Stuart Michelson. Wright is a shadowy perennial candidate in multiple races. Michelson and his wife, former Broward County Commissioner Ilene Lieberman are closely allied to Bolton and Gelin.

Stay tuned.

Mysterious PAC Formed By Allen Zeman Campaign Treasurer Using Supreme Court Justice, Obama & MLK To Fool Broward Voters

A mysterious Federal political action committee is using images of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, former President Barack Obama and even Martin Luther King, Jr. to fool Broward voters. Federal records show Yolanda Brown created The Black Vote Broward May 18, 2022. Brown is the campaign treasurer for Broward School Board candidate Allen Zeman.

Last month, REDBROWARD revealed Yolanda Brown created the Keep Students First political committee on May 27, 2022. Brown is listed as the chairperson and treasurer of Keep Students First.

Allen Zeman is the CEO and founder of The Center For Human Capital Innovation. On May 31, 2022, the Center For Human Capital Innovation gave $35,000 to the four day old Keep Students First political committee.

To date, The Black Vote Broward reports a single contribution—$100 from Yolanda Brown.

Despite the lack of contributions, The Black Vote Broward was able to produce a palm card endorsing Federal, State and local candidates. The palm card was spotted at early voting locations across Broward.

The card is similar to previous race-based cards produced by Dale Holness’ campaign guru Omar Smith, who plead guilty to a Federal fraud charge in July.

In September 2020, REDBROWARD exposed the ties between Holness and the People Of Principle PAC. The group promoted black candidates with a “your vote your voice” mailer touting Holness, Congressman Alcee Hastings and other black candidates. Even though the mailer states “#BlackVotesMatter” and “#BlackExcellence,” the piece includes several white candidates such as Judge Frank Ledee, Judge Patti Englander Henning and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.

Like the People of Principle card, The Black Vote Broward card endorsed white candidates over their black opponents. The group endorsed State Senator Lauren Book over Barbara Sharief. The group shunned two black candidates to endorse Broward School Board Candidate Allen Zeman.
