Anabelle Lima Taub Wins Hallandale Beach Hand Recount

After the hand recount on Thursday, Hallandale Beach Commissioner Anabelle Lima Taub maintained her lead over challenger Cynthia Cabrera. It took dozens of workers about an hour to sort through more than 14,000 ballots cast in the Seat 3 race. Cabrera picked up just one vote.

Despite being a political newcomer, Cynthia Cabrera had an army of lobbyists and elected officials observing the recount. Lobbyist Evan Ross appeared to coordinate the volunteer forces which included Hallandale Beach Commissioner Michele Lazarow, disgraced former Broward County Commissioner Scott Cowan and State Representative Joe Geller. Cabrera told the Broward canvassing board that Geller was her legal representative.

Lima Taub was represented by attorney Barbara Stern.

CAUGHT ON CAMERA (AGAIN): Hallandale Beach Mayor Keith London Attacks Firefighter At Early Voting

https://youtu.be/cqdeXxShdrY

Hallandale Beach Mayor Keith London does not like his city’s firefighters. At a recent commission meeting, London mocked the intelligence of a firefighters union official. Not surprisingly, the union endorsed London’s opponent Joy Adams.

On Tuesday, the ponytailed London attacked a firefighter at an early voting location in Hallandale Beach. London mocked the first responder for being paid by “the taxpayers your whole career.”

When the fireman said he runs into burning buildings for a living, a snarky London replied, “Congratulations, you signed up for the job. That’s the job you wanted.” London had to be pulled away from the fireman by another campaign worker.

Remember, Keith London is the same guy who confronted a city worker in the middle of the street and asked him about sex in prison. London told the Broward State Attorney’s Office that former Commissioner Bill Julian was a “migrant worker.” During a public meeting, Keith London asked fellow commissioner Anabelle Taub about “anal bleaching.”

And when The Sun-Sentinel endorsed him they said London was “too glib.” Does the Sun-Sentinel think London attacking firemen is “glib.”

Perhaps London felt brave surrounded by his campaign team of lobbyists: Evan Ross and Scott Cowan?
