Jaemi Patrice Levine, of Coral Springs, has filed paperwork to run for the Broward School Board seat (District 4) vacated by Dave Thomas. He ran against Ms. Levine in November 2010.

Governor Rick Scott appointed Donna Korn to fill this seat until 2012.

Roy L. Montgomery of Fort Lauderdale filed paperwork last week; he is seeking the District 5 seat currently held by Benjamin Williams.

Mr. Montgomery will run against Christopher Hughley and Broward Democrat honcho Ruth Roman Lynch.

While School Board races are “non-partisan”, we’re sure Mitch and the DEC will let everyone know that Levine and Montgomery are not Republicans.
