Political Consulting Company Tied To Tamarac Commissioner Marlon Bolton Ran Campaign For North Lauderdale Commissioner

Happy Feet Advertising, LLC, a political consulting company tied to Tamarac Commissioner Marlon Bolton, performed extensive campaign work for newly-elected North Lauderdale Commissioner Regina Martin, records show. Campaign treasurer reports show Martin paid $14,750 to Happy Feet during the 2020 election cycle. In fact, Martin paid Happy Feet nearly $1,000 more than Bolton paid for similar campaign work.

Last week, REDBROWARD exposed Marlon Bolton’s extensive ties to Happy Feet Advertising, LLC. According to State corporate records, Happy Feet Advertising LLC is owned by Trace N. Robinson. While the business paperwork shows a Margate address, the mailing address for Happy Feet Advertising is listed as P.O. Box 451711 Fort Lauderdale, FL 33345.

State records not only show businesses owned by Marlon Bolton use the same post office box, these same records show Marlon Bolton and Trace Robinson are business partners.

Records list Marlon Bolton and Trace Robinson as owners of The Driven Project, Praise Experience Worldwide Outreach Church, and South Florida Theological Seminary, Inc. The companies also use the same post office box.

Last year, Trace Robinson created the Broward Vision PAC political committee. The address for the PAC is the same post office box used by Bolton.

State of Florida campaign records show Broward Vision PAC paid $1,400 to Exy Consultants, a corporation created under the Happy Feet Advertising LLC name by Robinson. Exy Consultants used the same P.O. Box 451711 address as Marlon Bolton.

State business records also show Marlon Bolton and Regina Martin shared a Tamarac address.

Regina Martin owns House of Babydoll, a business located on Ann Lee Lane in Tamarac. Multiple records show this address is the current residence of Marlon Bolton.

ELECTION NIGHT

REDBROWARD revealed Marlon Bolton’s ties to The Tamarac Post, a public relations site operated by North Lauderdale deputy clerk Anthony Bonamy. When Bonamy applied for the North Lauderdale late last year, he listed Marlon Bolton as a reference. On November 19, 2020 Regina Martin was sworn into office. Her first official act was making a motion to hire Anthony Bonamy. Her motion was seconded by North Lauderdale Commissioner Samson Boregelin. Marlon Bolton spoke at the meeting. He urged North Lauderdale leaders to hire Bonamy.

Was this a mere coincidence?

REDBROWARD obtained video recorded by Regina Martin on election night as her victory was announced by local media. One man is heard gasping for air as he declares “Oh my God” several times. The man was Marlon Bolton. Later in the video, Martin receives a congratulatory hug from Commissioner Boregelin.

As the excitement dies down, Bolton tells Martin he is going to the election party of Tamarac Commissioner Elvin Villalobos. Martin immediate asks Bolton about “Mayor Dale [Holness], are you going to Mayor Dale’s.”

REDBROWARD asked Bolton about his role in Martin’s campaign. He refused to answer any questions.

Why was Marlon Bolton at Regina Martin’s victory party? Did Bolton discuss Anthony Bonamy with Regina Martin and Samson Boregelin prior to the November 19, 2020 North Lauderdale Commission meeting?

Residents of North Lauderdale and Tamarac deserves answers, right?

Perhaps The Tamarac Post will cover this story?
