Broward’s “Big Mama” Wants To Help Julie Shapiro-Harris Get Elected To Circuit Court

Judge Dread, RED BROWARD courthouse mole, reports Circuit Court candidate Julie Shapiro-Harris has picked up the endorsement of Essie “Big Mama” Reed. Big Mama and her Team of Life organization are well-known for helping Broward’s less fortunate kids and families. Big Mama says Shapiro-Harris’ experience as a social worker and domestic violence attorney is “consistent with [her] mission” helping Broward’s less fortunate.

Julie Shapiro-Harris is running for the open group 19 seat. Her opponent is Michael Rothschild.

Is Judy Stern Desperately Dialing For Dollars For Ilene Lieberman’s Campaign

RED BROWARD hearing from courthouse sources about über-lobbyist Judy Stern calling lawyers all over Broward to raise cash for Ilene Lieberman (D-Mango). Lieberman is using Stern in her quixotic bid to get on the Broward bench. Sources say the money people don’t want to pony up the cash.

Others wonder if the Lieberman campaign is using her staffer Beverly Bard Stracher. A progresive insider tell us Lieberman keeps Stracher around because “she needs someone with a college degree”.

Perhaps Ilene, Judy and Bev could open The Woodlands first “Mango-Salami Sandwich-Moneybags” concession stand?
