The head of the Broward Principals Union claims Washington Collado, principal at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school is being bullied by Broward School Board members and Superintendent Robert Runcie. Collado’s handling of the Stoneman Douglas cheerleading drama made local and national headlines. Lisa Maxwell, head of Broward Principals union told Local 10 news, “‘They’re bullying the principal….They’re furious. They’re absolutely furious over this.'”

Who is Washington Collado and how could he be so easily bullied?

Collado ran for the Broward School Board back in 1999. It’s doubtful a candidate for this office could be bullied by cheerleading moms and politicians, right?

From 2009-2010,Collado, an appointed member of the Broward Ethics Commission, joined with powerhouse attorney Bill Scherer to draft the tough ethics rules to combat corruption in Broward county. It’s doubtful an appointed ethics commission member could be bullied by cheerleading moms and politicians, right?

Collado is on the board of directors of the Broward Principals Union. Surely he must be well versed in policies, procedures and techniques to overcome bullying at the hands of cheerleading moms and politicians, right?

Collado, owner of Vamco Education, is an award winning author and motivational speaker. People have Collado come speak to groups about his books and techniques to run schools and education programs.On his website, Collado boasts, “With so many demands placed on teachers, an involved parent is the teacher’s best friend. But proper involvement is a must. Improper involvement on the part of the parent can actually be detrimental to the child’s education.”

Does it sound like this guy could be bullied by cheerleading moms and politicians?
