Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis (D-Poop) Spent Day With Oprah!

While Fort Lauderdale residents and city workers continued the clean up of six recent major sewer line breaks, Mayor Dean Trantalis had more pressing business to attend to. Dean Trantalis spent his Saturday with Oprah Winfrey. Trantalis secured very pricey seats to the kickoff of “Oprah’s 2020 Vision: Your Life in Focus” at the BB&T Center in Sunrise. The day-long self-help seminar featured Oprah Winfrey and guests Lady Gaga and Julianne Hough.

According to ticket selling websites, seats near the stage were fetching prices north of $600 per ticket. Dean Trantalis and a City Of Fort Lauderdale Community Outreach Manager sat in the row behind Oprah’s bff Gayle King of CBS News. Unlike Broward County Commissioner Barbara Sharief, Dean Trantalis failed to post any pictures of the event.

One Facebook user posted a short video of Trantalis speaking with Winfrey.

On the popular Paul Castronovo radio program (BIG 105.9 FM), host Paul Castronovo mentioned Trantalis spent the entire day “on stage” with Oprah. Castronovo show co-host “Toast” asked if Trantalis discussed the “poo water.”

If the sewer issue is such an emergency, why did Dean Trantalis spend the day in west Broward with celebrities? While repairs continue, nothing has returned to normal. Two residents were hospitalized with infections after coming into contact with the water. Millions and millions of gallons of raw sewage was pumped into the Tarpon River and Himmarshee Canal, but Trantalis posted that tests deemed the water safe. One resident posted photographs on Trantalis’ Facebook page of after receiving a call that it was safe to swim in the water. The user wrote, “There’s literally a ‘sanitary napkin’ floating by.”

Don’t Fort Lauderdale residents deserve true leadership?

Broward County Preps For Massive Trump Rally

Broward County continues to prepare for a massive Trump rally tonight at the BB&T Center in Sunrise. While President Donald Trump will not take the stage until 7pm, the area around the arena was filling with supporters around 9am. Tents offering t-shirts and signs were set up a few yards away from a growing line of Trump supporters. Many roads surrounding the arena and the neighboring Sawgrass Mills Mall were already blocked by dump trucks and police barricades. Doors at the BB&T Center will open at 3pm Tuesday afternoon.
