Around noon Monday, the City of Tamarac announced the hiring of Jacqueline Guzman as an outreach coordinator for Commissioner Morey Wright, multiple sources told REDBROWARD. A few hours later, Jacqueline Guzman added an item to the City of Sunrise agenda calling for the hiring of legislative aides for Commissioners. How did she add an item to the agenda?
Jacqueline Guzman is a City of Sunrise Commissioner.
As a City Commissioner, Jacqueline Guzman collects a salary paid by Sunrise taxpayers.
As of today, Guzman will collect a paycheck paid by City of Tamarac taxpayers.
And if her agenda item passes tomorrow, Sunrise taxpayers will be forced to pay multiple salaries for the new aides.
Perhaps Jacqueline Guzman could hire Morey Wright as her legislative aide?
Tamarac taxpayers are used to these shameless hiring practices.
In January 2023, REDBROWARD broke the news on Tamarac Commissioner Marlon Bolton working as highly-paid aide for Broward County Commissioner Hazelle Rogers.
Bolton held the position until late last year.
Maybe Marlon Bolton will apply for one of those Sunrise jobs.
Same thing has been happening in North Lauderdale. Unbelievable and unethical!
Collusion is rampant in West Broward.
The Aides are totally unnecessary. City Staff can handle what needs to be done. A City of Tamarac resident should have been hired for the $25. an hour position of handling social media. The preacher is very, very, greedy for a “religious” man. He has managed to coerce those that he helps get elected to line their own pockets with benefit after benefit after benefit. Hey, Tamarac taxpayers…SHOW UP at the Commission meeting on February 12th. Let YOUR Commissioner know that you are watching. They complained that only 5 of us show up to speak at the meetings. They think that you LOVE everything that they’re doing….NOT!! SHOW UP !!
