Reportedly, Bolton owns property there at Shaker Village. There is a pretty big back story to all of this. Tamarac taxpayers left on the hook for a private development?? $12 mil in Shaker Village fines also wiped clean in this “deal.” The whole thing stinks.
To be more precise, Bolton’s church (Praise Experience World Outreach Church Inc) bought a unit in Shaker Village on his last birthday, 31 May 2023. The unit in question happens to be the one Bolton had been renting for several years.
I’ll like to add that all 5 HOA board members that voted yes had outstanding liens that will now be removed.
The consequences on such vote by the Commission has yet to be determined by the precedence due to such involvement in purchasing private property.
I can’t imagine a world where homeowner board of directors with majority, think that they have the authority to sell common elements of their communities.
The whole thing stinks Elvin and just another embarrassment, putting it mildly, for Tamarac via the City Commission and an unjustifiable drain use taxpayer money.

Because Tamarac DOES NOT CARE WHAT IT DOES WITH OUR MONEY,
