North Lauderdale Deputy City Clerk Anthony Bonamy Fired

The City of North Lauderdale fired Deputy City Clerk Anthony Bonamy on Tuesday night. Mayor Ana Ziadie told Commissioners she was “just not comfortable with” Bonamy in that role. “[Bonamy] is not the right fit,” Ziadie said.

Commissioner Samson Borgelin tried to stymie Ziadie’s call to terminate Bonamy.

The Commissioners did not need to discuss Bonamy’s role in a website promoting Tamarac Commissioner Marlon Bolton.

Since Bonamy was still in a probationary period, he was terminated without any reason given.

Following the vote, an angry Borgelin abruptly left the meeting.
