Disgraced School Board Member Ann Murray suddenly wants the School Board to consider going with 7 members instead of 9.
Murray told the Sun-Sentinel:
” member Ann Murray asked that the board meet within the next 30 days to discuss permanently changing the nine-member board to a seven-member body as had been recommended in February’s grand jury report. (The report suggested five or seven members.)”
Gee, Ann wants us to follow grand jury report? What about the tidbit about threatening district employees? Published reports say Murray and her political guru may have an opinion on that topic.
Maybe Ann wants to challenge Say it ain’t Mo Dinnen?
Ann Murray should resign.
in these days of big-moneyed, political appointments, the less board members there are, the higher the chance of corrupted/nuanced votes. This school board budget is huge…with very serious consequences for a A LOT of children, parents, teachers, employees. I fear having only a handful because if the majority are political appointments with an agenda, it’s too easy to have a rubber-stamp board.
