Bob Norman’s favorite uber-lobbyist, Judy Stern took time off from organizing the Broward Democrat machinery to harangue her “favorite” member of the Florida House of Representatives, George Moraitis. Stern’s daughter Barbara, was crushed by Moraitis in 2010; Rumors abound that the Stern’s will challenge the him again in 2012.

Thursday morning, Moraitis and Sen Ellyn Bogdanoff appeared at the Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. On Wednesday, Stern encouraged her Facebook friends to confront them:

“It is up to the democratic party to make sure the voters in 2012 know that the Republican state legislators, as well as those in Washington, have crusaded since last November to dismantle the public education system, destroyed medicare and medicaid, and working hard to remove the middle class from any existance in this country.Yesterday at 4:15am

You and your friends should attend the Chamber breakfast with Bogdanoff and Moraitis tomorrow and let them know how you feel. Yesterday at 8:59am“

According to witnesses, Ms. Stern gave a rambling performance at the Chamber this morning. Her long-winded diatribe to Rep. Moraitis drew guffaws from the bipartisan audience. Some asked Stern if “she had a question” in hopes of her getting to her point.

Sources tell RED BROWARD Stern was upset Moraitis did not support a bill regarding candidates names on the ballot. In a sweet twist of irony, Stern supports limiting candidates to names they are known by in business instead of using tactics to appeal to certain voting segments or to gain higher placement on the ballot. Moraitis said the confusing bill did not merit suppport because Florida faces much more important issues.

Will Stern’s performance will keep Republicans from currying favor with her tactics in 2012? Too soon to tell, this is Broward county after all.
