The World Cup is coming to South Florida. FIFA just announced the schedule for the 2026 World Cup. Matches will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The opening match will be held in Mexico City. The first match in Canada will be held in Toronto. SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles will host the first match in the U.S.A.
Hard Rock Stadium in Miami will host a group stage match on June 15, 2026.
The World Cup begins June 11, 2026 on FOX.
While Lionel Messi hopes to keep Argentina in Quatar for a few more weeks in the World Cup, published reports say he exit Paris Saint Germain and join the MLS in South Florida.
“Inter Miami are close to agreeing a deal with Lionel Messi, with the US club confident that the Argentina superstar will sign after the World Cup here in Qatar. The Miami franchise, which is co-owned by David Beckham, expect Messi to move from Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the European season, in a deal that will make the 35-year-old the highest-paid player in the history of MLS.”
