Broward County Schools will be closed Thursday due to impacts of Hurricane Helene. The District reversed an earlier decision to remain open despite a tropical storm warning in effect.

Broward County is under a tropical storm warning as Helene strengthens. The 5AM advisory by the National Hurricane Center placed all of south Florida under the tropical storm warning. This means tropical storm conditions are expected in the next 36 hours.
