Florida House District 102 candidate Jason Smith held a successful fundraiser late last month at CJ Black’s restaurant in Davie. Smith, a Cooper City Commissioner, is seeking the Republican nomination for the open House seat. Many Tallahassee insiders view Smith as the clear front runner for the nomination.
Part of their reasoning is based on Smith’s strong grassroots support. His well-attended fundraiser was filled with average voters and not political insiders and staffers.
“The true success of our recent fundraiser was not only in the financial support we received, but in the opportunity to connect with neighbors, share similar stories, and build the relationships that make our community strong,” Smith told REDBROWARD.
