Richelle Holness Makes Initial Appearance In Federal Court, Judge Sets $100K Bond

Dale Holness and Richelle Holness

Richelle Holness, daughter of former Broward County Commissioner Dale Holness, made her initial appearance in Federal Court in Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday. Last month, Holness was charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and fraud in connection with emergency benefits-both felonies. On Wednesday, Magistrate Judge Panayotta Augustin-Birch set bail at $100,000 dollars. Holness was ordered to surrender her passport.

Holness waived her right to an indictment, instead her case will be based on an information filed by prosecutors.

Holness is represented by Larry Robert Handfield.
