Tallahassee Tells Broward County It’s DOGE Time

Florida CFO Blaise Ingoglia.

He may have been sworn into office today, but new Florida Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia already made his presence known in Broward County. Ingoglia and the Florida Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) sent a letter to Broward County Mayor Beam Furr on Monday detailing the State’s plan to investigate spending. News of the DOGE letters was first reported on X by E.W. Scripps reporter Forrest Saunders. One letter was sent to Broward County, another to the City of Gainesville.

Governor Ron DeSantis has repeatedly questioned the possible misuse of Broward County taxpayers’ money.

“Governor DeSantis has charged us, through Florida’s DOGE effort, to identify and report on this type of excessive spending at the county and municipal level,” Ingoglia wrote.

On July 11, 2025, the State requested information “linking Broward County‘s sources of revenue to its expenditures.” Apparently, DOGE discovered more information was needed.

Ingoglia and DOGE wants access to County premises, data systems, personnel for two days at the end of month.

DOGE states Broward County may face financial penalties if they fail to comply.

Hysterical! The Governor that waisted our $450 million on that internment camp in the everglades, and can’t account for $10 milllion of his wife’s charity, is questioning $450 million for one of the most populous counties. I’m all for accountability and cutting waste but the hypocrisy is amazing. He will do anything for publicity and to fulfill his fascist ways.

Will someone tell Deerfield Beach city manager Rodney Brimlow that the Deerfield Beach report to Florida Doge prepared by concerned taxpayers is almost complete. Based on the letter to the mayor of Broward County, the timing for the DB report is perfect.

We need DOGE to come to Pompano Beach.. lots of waste $$ that the residents didn’t want and didn’t vote for. starting with Downtown buildings, Atlantic Blvd. narrowing so people can’t evacuate in Hurricane. Plus, Bicycle lanes that people can drive a compact car on they are so wide. And in areas where NO ONE rides bicycles!!
Not to mention the Historic House they MOVED further down Atlantic to make into restaurant how many years ago?? It sits there crumbling. Sad City of Pompano with these leaders.
