US Senator Dianne Feinstein Dead At 90

Senator Dianne Feinstein of California has died. Feinstein was “the first woman president of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, the first woman mayor of San Francisco, and one of two of the first women elected to the U.S. Senate from California.” Feinstein was 90 years old.

Florida’s Senators reacted to the death of the California Democrat.

“Senator Feinstein was a political pioneer with a historic career of public service.

Intelligent, hard working & always treated everyone with courtesy & respect.

May God grant her eternal rest.”

    Diane Feinstein broke many glass ceilings, making it easier for the women who followed her. May she forever rest in Peace & Power.

    i was born here in Ft Laud in 1956, but the summer after i graduated Stranahan, i moved to S.F. because of the Grateful Dead (yes i did), so, i was living there, and remember it well, the day Mayor Moscone, who was hugely popular, and Commissioner Harvey Milk were gunned down inside City Hall, 1978, and Dianne Feinstein was the next in line to be the new Mayor…..
