The criminal jury trial for Omar Smith, Dale Holness’ campaign guru, is set to begin on July 5, 2022. Judge Robin Rosenberg will preside over Smith’s trial for conspiracy to commit bank fraud and wire fraud. Earlier this week, Federal prosecutors charged Smith with the felony stemming from his scheme to fraudulently obtain a $215,500 Payroll Protection Program (PPP) loan.

Following his first appearance in Federal court, Omar Smith posted a $100,000 bond and signed a waiver of indictment.
