Dean Trantalis Paid “Radical” School Board Candidate For Campaign Work

New campaign financial reports show Fort Lauderdale Commissioner Dean Trantalis paid “radical” Broward School Board candidate Elijah Manley for campaign work. Yesterday, REDBROWARD exposed Manley’s political views as well as his ties to controversial Broward County Commissioner Dale Holness. Manley has expressed anti-Israel, pro-socialist views. He has been endorsed by Holness and Holness’ daughter Damara is Manley’s campaign manager. Trantalis is currently running to be the next Mayor of Fort Lauderdale.

New campaign treasurer reports show Dean Trantalis paid Elijah Manley $225 for “volunteer” work. In December, Manley posted pictures showing him holding Trantalis campaign literature. Manley said he was knocking on doors for Trantalis.

Several Fort Lauderdale insiders are troubled by Dean Trantalis’ growing ties to Team Holness. On Tuesday, REDBROWARD reported a Trantalis fundraiser was held at Dale Holness’ real estate office in Plantation. The “A Better Florida For All” political committee hosted the December 7th event.

The political committee’s chairperson has been paid by Dean Trantalis. Sophia Nelson, owner of SA Nelson and Associates, received three payments of $1,357 from Trantalis. Omar Smith, the political committee’s treasurer, owns “FlyerSmith,” the company behind the mysterious pro-Dean Trantalis emails.

Why is Dean Trantalis so eager to join forces with Dale Holness?

What does Dale Holness want from Dean Trantalis?

Does Fort Lauderdale really need Dale Holness’ influence over the city commission?

Fort Lauderdale voters deserve answers before the January 16th primary.
