Rose Walker-Williams, a Southwest Ranches mom, knows all about “red tape” in the Broward County School District. Walker-Williams guided her son, who suffers from cerebral palsy, through the system. Now, she wants to help other ESE parents do the same.

Last night, Walker-Williams was the only District 2 candidate appearing at the Haitian American Democratic Club in Plantation. Even though her son is now twenty years old, she continues to help special needs children as a mentor in the Take Stock In Children program.

Walker-Williams said the school district needs to “embrace parents” who only want to help their kids.

She faces School Board Member Patti Good on the August 30th ballot.

We need to support candidates that are willing to fight for our children , especially special needs kids. They are being left behind and ignored by most of the school boards here in Broward county and the state and across the nation. Too much corruption, too much politics like the teachers unions and we must end Common Core and bring education back to the states and the local school boards, teachers and parents , eliminate DC control and the dept of Education.
