Gov. Rick Scott: No Donald Trump Endorsement

In a blow to Donald Trump’s campaign in Florida, Governor Rick Scott announced he will not make an endorsement in the March 15th primary. Gov. Scott issued a statement on Facebook just minutes after a Trump press conference in Maine. Many thought Scott would appear with Trump last Tuesday at an event in Palm Beach and drive a nail into the coffin of Senator Marco Rubio’s plans to win Florida.

In today’s statement, Governor Scott wrote, “I trust the voters, so I will not try to tell the Republican voters in Florida how to vote by endorsing a candidate before our primary on March 15.”
