Stacy Ritter Puts Elections Office Ethics Back On Broward Commission Agenda

Stacy Ritter is the second Broward County Commissioner who wants Supervisor of Elections (SOE) Brenda Snipes to be a leader in ethics. Earlier this month, County Commissioner Mark Bogen questioned Snipes about the political activities of her attorney, Burnadette Norris Weeks. Bogen pulled a resolution from the agenda after Norris Weeks claimed it was part of a “racist” plan to control Snipes’ office.

Ritter has placed an item on the County Commission agenda calling on Snipes to “not accept professional or legal guidance from an SOE contractor in connection with any election race involving a candidate to whom the contractor directly or indirectly contributed or candidate the contractor has actively supported.”

Expect the emails to fly between now and Tuesday’s commission meeting.
