Tornado just east of downtown Ft Lauderdale this afternoon. Was watching the signature on the radar and it looked like it would be close.

Police response to reported shooting on Fort Lauderdale Beach

REDBROWARD obtained footage showing police responding to a reported shooting on Fort Lauderdale beach late Monday. The video shows Fort Lauderdale Police racing along Las Olas Boulevard towards A1A shortly after 7:30PM on Memorial Day. The majority of police vehicles appeared to stop in front of the trouble Beach Place entertainment center just north of Las Olas. Other police vehicles were stationed along Seabreeze Blvd and Poinsettia Street. Online rumors that shooting occurred at the new city park on Las Olas and A1A are not correct.

One report claims two males were shot.

Police remained on scene until just after 8:30PM.
