Bombshell at today’s Fort Lauderdale Commission conference meeting when it was revealed that lawyer Barbra Stern hired a “vendor” to install listening devices at last week’s meeting. Local resident Jackie Scott told commissioners that a vendor admitted Stern hired her after the listening devices were discovered. Before Scott spoke, Fort Lauderdale Police Chief Patrick Lynn told Mayor Dean Trantalis he did not “have the names of the parties involved.” Amazingly, Barbra Stern represents the Fort Lauderdale Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 31. Stern is the daughter of Fort Lauderdale lobbyist Judy Stern.
