FLL Airport Shooter: Esteban Santiago Ruiz

The Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport shooter has been identified as Esteban Santiago Ruiz. According to NBC News in New York, his family has identified this picture as Ruiz. Five victims were killed in the shooting at the terminal 2 baggage claim area. The picture below was posted online but cannot be verified as the suspect.

A passenger snapped the picture below of police taking Esteban Santiago Ruiz into custody.

UPDATE: Mass Shooting At Fort Lauderdale Airport, Multiple Fatalities

The Broward Sheriff’s Office confirms multiple fatalities from a mass shooting at Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport. NBC News reports at least three dead. BSO says shooter is in custody. Airport officials say all airport services suspended. Reports say Florida Governor Rick Scott is en route to scene. Miami Herald reports parts of I-595 closed to local traffic.

UPDATE: CNN reporting five deaths. BSO says 8 victims transported to local hospital.
