Attorney General James Uthmeier Warns Coral Springs Commission Over Hosting CAIR/Muslim Conference

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier issued a warning to the Coral Springs Commission about hosting a Muslim conference later this month. In a Friday evening social media post, Uthmeier reminded commissioners that the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) is a “designated terrorist organization.”

Uthmeier wrote:

“Coral Springs should remember that state and local resources cannot be used by any organization affiliated with CAIR, which is a designated terrorist organization.

The city commission is on notice.”

Uthmeier issued the warning after CoralSpringsTalk.com reported how outraged residents asked the Commission not to allow the Florida Muslim Conference to be held on January 30-31.

“Coral Springs, whether by complacency or complicity, has decided to provide the arts center – a tax-funded facility – to this group,” Rabbi Simcha Goldstein told commissioners. “Members of this group include organizations that have been determined to be terrorist organizations,” he said, referencing CAIR.”
