REMEMBER: It’s not just King Tides. City of Fort Lauderdale streets flood when it rains during any high tide due to the installation of tidal valves. The water has nowhere to go.

KING TIDE my A$$, KING CONCRETE!!! our inept Public Works Dept with Alan Dodd and Dr. Nancy Glassman have only made things worse in my River Oaks neighborhood!!! and our Commissioner Warren Sturman is mumbling to himself….
Decades of poor planning and neglect in regards to infrastructure are being pushed off onto “climate change”. And not just in South Florida, but across the world. How convenient. The intersection of Johnson Street and 58th Avenue in Hollywood floods after any decent shower and has done so for a good half century or better. I bet it’s flooded right now, as Google Maps shows a nice red line on 58th where the puddle is always the worst. (10-2-23, 11:30 am).
