Florida Governor Ron DeSantis penned an opinion piece for the USA Today detailing his plan to rebuild the American economy. DeSantis is seeking the Republican Party nomination for President of The United States. You can read the full article here.

We will declare our economic independence from the failed elites who orchestrated American decline and from never-ending federal spending that inflated prices and left nation on brink of insolvency.
America is in a state of decline – militarily, culturally and economically – and the American dream is slipping away from our nation’s middle class.
We led the charge to drag our nation out of pandemic lockdown, to protect freedom, to ensure the viability of small businesses and to preserve the education of our youth. We cut against the grain of elite opinion and faced massive blowback for bucking the system – but we stood our ground.
We fought for Floridians who were ignored by the elites, who didn’t have a voice and whose livelihoods hung in the balance. We were their voice, we were their fighter – and we won.
We will take that same spirit to Washington to fight for Americans across the nation.
Revitalizing economic freedom and opportunity today will require building an economy where the concerns of average citizens are elevated above those deemed “too big to fail.”
Elect have a president who can’t step up and correct a horrible mistake with this Sheriff facing criminal and ethical charges??
More bs political nonsense. Nothing specific, all platitude. In his ideal world, he’d be the king the orange maggot aspired to be. And he should answer this; how will he operate in Washington DV without his compliant Republican legislature licking his gonads? A recipe fir failure.
“Rebuild the American economy”…LOL! Under his tutelage Florida now has the highest inflation rate in the country…9%. Triple the federal rate which the Biden administration has whittled down to a current 3%. Sure, Ronnie. We’re going to rely on you to “rebuild” our economy…esp. as you’d presumably do so by returning the favors to each of your corporate “benefactors” who threw $$ at you going into your campaign and some, of course, who have since expressed some regrets in doing so and pulled back, for now, in giving more. But, of course, all of this assumes he will end up in the White House and at this point his campaign has managed to do just about everything to make sure that never happens.
The article was total BS. The comments, however, reflect the feelings of South Floridians. How does DeathSantis say, with a straight face, that he will improve anything? Trump tax cuts caused a whole lot of economic disaster. The conservative Supremes, alleging that MONEY is free speech, have given our government to the elites among us. Even DeathSantis’ supporters say that he is too conservative. He is SPENDING our Economic Stimulus money on HIS presidential campaign!! Election Police, to appeal to Old White men; The Florida Guard, to appeal to Old White Men. A ban on abortion, to appeal to sexually repressed White men of all ages. Restricting Education, to appeal to Racist, Misogynistic, Sexually Repressed White people of all ages. Let’s see which positions he’s going to support THIS week! I like the OPPORTUNIST label one of our newspapers slapped on him. He put the DUH in FloriDUH!
