There is no Constitutional right to “carry” a weapon. I am appalled at the lack of common sense and humanity in the lily-livered lapdogs known as the Florida GOP Legislators.

Quick little history lesson… American citizens are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights which means you start with them; some may be restricted or limited by our government but some may not, according to the Constitution. The Bill of Rights are all individual rights, and the phrasing is perfectly clear that the “right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” Gun tax = poll tax and both are unConstitutional.

Amendment 2 is part of the collective body on amendments that were passed in order to appeal to the anti-federalist. However, you failed to cite the entire text. Please note the introductory clause on amendment 2. This is the only such clause in the Bill of Rights. The clause, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State,” states the purpose of the amendment. Please note, that there never been a time in US where guns were not regulated. Hell, even the 2nd and 3rd words are “well regulated”. So why the confusion, SCOTUS has been willing to ignore precedents in favor of special interest (primarily the NRA). PS you mentioned unalienable rights which starts with “Life”, well, that coupled with one of the purposes of government is to protect it’s citizenry, by failing to regulate guns, the government is not protecting “Life” and it sure as hell isn’t doing it’s job. Before you mention arming civilians to fight back against an abusive government, that became obsolete with advancements in technology. Do you think we should have access to nukes?

Oh joy. I’m just surprised he didn’t surround himself with a room full of children when he signed being as callous and compassionless as he has shown himself repeatedly to be.

That’s what matters here? The expression on one’s face when signing a law? Fidel Castro always signed new laws with a giant smile, look what good that did. Laugh Out Loud.
