Forget campaign paperwork! Broward Judge John “Jay” Hurley is too busy planning a fancy campign kickoff at the Ritz-Carlton on Fort Lauderdale beach. Who could be bothered with pesky campaign rules when you’re deciding on the right canapes and bon-bons?

REDBROWARD received word that Judge Hurley’s first fundraiser for his nonexistent re-election campaign will be held next Friday, April 17th at the ultra-exclusive Ritz Carlton. And by “ultra-exclusive” we mean no riff raff from Beach Place allowed. Guess the Embassy Suites on 17th Street Causeway (a Hurley favorite) was booked.

Will Hurley have a third website up and running by then? Will he finally file his (required) campaign paperwork by then?
